Plate Block (Upper Left) - VFNH - Plate #1 (PB-UL-#1-037)
Hard to find inscription block of the beautiful 1934 Loyalists issue, small natural gum wrinkle in the upper selvages, but also with some very nice green hairlines (under the green guide dot), which is an uncommented variety on this issue, very interesting!

Description

In 1934 Canada commemorated the 150th anniversary of the completion of the United Empire Loyalists’ immigration to Canada by issuing a special 10-cent postage stamp. The full tide of Loyalist immigration to Canada took place in the spring and summer of 1784.

The central vignette shows a sculpture of a family group of father, mother, and two children dressed in the costumes of the Revolutionary period.
