Extremely rare unissued 90¢ stamp from the 1994 Christmas issue, of which there are only 1,000 copies known!!!
When this stamp was printed, it was anticipated that there would be an imminent increase of the postage rates.
However, this increase was successively disapproved, which is why the final stamp (#1535) was issued with a facial value of 88¢.
Therefore, very few unissued copies of 90¢ (#1535ii) have survived today and have now become fantastic collectibles!

Description
This stamp was produced for a proposed 88¢ to 90¢ rate increase which was not approved. A few of these 90¢ stamps somehow got out of the post office and into private hands. A very rare modern variety.
