Horizontal pair, vertically imperforated between the two. This stamp was only printed in vertical coils of 100 originally, so this variety was not possible initially! But it was also exceptionally issued in uncut sheets of 100 stamps (#2357iii) a few months after the original issue, which is very uncommon for a coil stamp!
Therefore these horizontal imperforated pairs can only be obtained by splitting one of these special sheets of 100 stamps. Due to this fact, we believe the catalogue slightly underestimate the value of this variety, as one of these scarce sheets has to be "sacrificed" in order to produce it!

PS: In our opinion, these pairs are undervalued in the catalogue, because they are much scarcer than their catalogue value would suggest!
