Very notable horizontal stripes on the back, which is the main characteristic of laid paper! With the typical small faults seen on this issue (wrinkles, light thin), but with a very discreet grid cancellation, scarcely seen so light on this stamp! The value of the 1¢ Large Queen on laid paper has kept increasing in the catalogue throughout the years and rightly so as it is extremely hard to find and is definitely one of the key stamps in any Canadian collection!
